Mission

Christ has given the church the overall mission of fulfilling the Great Commission and living out the Great Commandment. Through these Christ intends for us to minister to God, each other and our world.

The mission of our congregation is based on conveying to others the message found in:

Jeremiah 29:11-13. For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me.

We intend to welcome into our congregation people who have never participated in church life, people who are currently neglecting the practice of their faith, people who are disillusioned with traditional church routines and politics, and people who need God to give them a new opportunity. It is to these that we seek to offer the message of God’s plan for renewed hope and a new future.

We intend to help the individuals in our congregation have a deeper and more personal relationship with Jesus. We will seek to accomplish this through the development of a life of prayer, the careful study of Scripture, a commitment to obey God’s revealed will, openness to the inner working of the Holy Spirit and a love for our Christian family. Then, together as a congregation, we will be a people who are diligently seeking after the heart of God.
